In 2026, Constantinos participated in an Erasmus+ job-shadowing mobility hosted by NK Rudeš in Zagreb, Croatia. The mobility formed part of our Spatial Intelligence Enhancement Project in Sports Education, in the context of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

The coach had the opportunity to experience the daily youth-development environment of NK Rudeš, observing how coaching methodologies are organised and applied across different age groups.
The programme focused on:
- Observation of youth training sessions and coaching practices.
- Session planning and training organisation.
- Spatial awareness, movement and decision-making.
- Technical and tactical player development.
- Exchange of ideas and experiences with NK Rudeš coaches.
The programme provided Constantinos with the opportunity to observe the youth development structure of NK Rudeš, including training organisation, session planning, technical and tactical development, spatial awareness and decision-making across different age groups. Working closely with Mr Ante Bašić, Academy Director at NK Rudeš, also brought valuable methodological depth to the mobility. His strong coaching background and specialisation in the Coerver methodology offered additional insights into individual technical development, ball mastery, creativity and the progressive development of young players. These exchanges allowed Constantinos to compare different methodological approaches and consider how selected elements could complement and strengthen our own coaching practices.
Constantinos reflected:
“The experience at NK Rudeš gave me the opportunity to observe a different football culture and see how coaches approach the development of young players in their daily environment. I particularly valued the openness of the hosting organization, the exchange of ideas and the opportunity to compare their practices with our own methodologies. I returned with new ideas and perspectives that we can evaluate and adapt to our work in Cyprus.”
The mobility strengthened Constantinos’ experience in methodology evaluation and coach development and provided practical ideas that can be transferred into our grassroots activities.
We sincerely thank NK Rudeš for their hospitality and openness, and the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union for supporting opportunities for coaches and sports organisations to exchange knowledge across Europe.
